Now they have hit the streets of Japan but wont hit the US market until late next year. If you have to have one now you can get one shipped to you and easily convert the default language to English (how to video). The guys over at Pocketables.net just received theirs and decided to share.

The Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 is being compared to the UMID mbook M1, they both have that clamshell compact design, a WSVGA touchscreen, 512MB of RAM, and a microSD card slot, but that’s where the comparisons end. The NetWalker is powered by an 800MHz ARM Cortex A8-based processor, with a 4GB hard drive, and a 10-hour battery life. Other key features are a full 6-row keyboard, optical mouse with buttons, standard USB ports, a 5" LED-backlit screen, and Linux Ubuntu 9 OS.
